A legacy of history and heritage
Home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705, Blenheim Palace became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Designed by Vanbrugh in the Baroque style and set within 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown-landscaped parkland, it was built as a gift from Queen Anne to the first Duke of Marlborough for his victory in the War of the Spanish Succession.
Blenheim Palace also holds one of Europe’s most extensive and significant art collections, including paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and furniture. It is the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, whose father once called the estate’s view ‘the finest in England’.
