Some of the most popular Father Christmas experiences either have tickets on sale now or are about to open bookings. Here’s a roundup of unusual and quirky ways to meet Santa this year, from snowy forests to castle grottos, along with what’s confirmed so far and what’s still to come.
LaplandUK, Ascot and Manchester
LaplandUK remains one of the most immersive Father Christmas experiences in the country, with a theatrical walk through a snow-covered forest, gingerbread decorating, ice skating and a meeting with Father Christmas himself. It runs across two sites, Ascot and Manchester, from early November to Christmas Eve. Tickets went on sale back in March, priced from £60 to £195 per person, and the 2026 season is now sold out, waitlist only, according to LaplandUK’s own site. LEGOLAND Windsor at Christmas
LEGOLAND at Christmas has confirmed its 2026 dates: 21 November 2026 to 2 January 2027. Theme park tickets start from £34 per person, with a Father Christmas Visit Upgrade from £27.50 per child (£22 for eligible Merlin Annual Passholders). Every child gets a LEGO gift after their grotto visit, alongside festive shows, twinkling lights and a giant DUPLO Christmas tree.
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London
Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, London’s biggest festive event, returns from 19 November 2026 to 3 January 2027, with a Family Fun Day on New Year’s Day. The revamped Santa Land was one of last year’s standout additions, featuring London’s largest free Santa’s Grotto alongside an Elves’ Workshop. General tickets aren’t on sale yet, but the newsletter pre-sale is live now, running until 13 August, so it’s worth signing up quickly if you want first access.
Chessington World of Adventures, Surrey
Chessington’s Christmas Village combines a log-fire grotto with the Enchanted Hollow Toy Workshop, a festive panto and a light-strewn woodland walk. Christmas 2026 is confirmed to be returning, but ticket sales for the Christmas Village are described as “coming soon” on the Chessington website, so this is one to watch over the next few weeks.
Hobbledown, Epsom and Hounslow
Santa’s Secret Village at Hobbledown is one of the more immersive, storytelling-led grottos around, with kids led through Santa’s Post Office, a Toy Distribution Centre and an Elf Carnival before finally reaching Father Christmas himself. Both the Epsom and Hounslow sites have confirmed 2026 dates, running from 28 November to 24 December. At the Hounslow site, child tickets start from £31.50 on weekdays, rising to £45 on weekends and peak dates, with adult tickets from £16.50, and the price includes full access to the rest of the attraction. It’s already bookable now.
Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland
For something a little different, Bamburgh Castle’s grotto sits inside a genuine medieval fortress on the Northumberland coast. Father Christmas tickets for 2026 are on sale now at £19.95 per child, on top of standard castle admission. It’s a striking, less crowded alternative to the big theme park experiences.
Thursford, Norfolk
Thursford’s Santa’s Magical Journey pairs a visit to Santa with the Enchanted Journey of Light, an indoor and outdoor light trail with animatronics and lantern-lit scenes. Tickets are expected to go on sale in summer 2026, so this one is still to be confirmed, but it’s worth signing up for alerts if you’re in the Norfolk area.
Ruxley Manor, Kent
Ruxley Manor’s theatrical grotto, complete with Father and Mother Christmas, elf activities and dedicated SEN sessions, is a firm favourite in Kent. Last year’s tickets went on sale in mid-August, so 2026 dates and prices haven’t been confirmed yet at the time of writing. Keep an eye on their site and socials, since previous years have sold out fast once released.
Drusillas Park, East Sussex
A firm South Coast favourite, Drusillas pairs a cosy Christmas Cottage grotto with a singing reindeer trio, a 24ft Christmas tree and, in recent years, a husky meet-and-greet. In 2025 it ran from 22 November to 23 December, with the Santa Experience as an add-on to standard entry. 2026 dates and pricing haven’t been published yet, so this one’s still to be confirmed.
Godstone Farm, Surrey
Godstone Farm’s grotto experience leans into storytelling, with kids passing through an elf school and a “Wish Room” before meeting Father Christmas, plus dedicated SEND sessions and both daytime and dusk visit options. It’s consistently popular and known to sell out, but 2026 dates and prices aren’t live yet, so this is one to check back on.
