This Christmas, families can delight in The Jolly Christmas Postman, a festive stage adaptation of Janet and Allan Ahlberg’s beloved book, brought to life by Royal & Derngate, Northampton. Running from 7th to 31st December 2024, the production promises a magical journey for children and adults alike.

A Star Cast and Creative Team

The ensemble cast includes actor-musicians such as Samuel Morgan-Grahame and Ellen Chivers. Together, they will portray beloved fairytale characters including Red Riding Hood and Humpty Dumpty. Jesse Jones, Royal & Derngate’s Artistic Director, leads the production, alongside an impressive creative team.

It is so important to us here that we are giving opportunities to local artists, so I am very pleased to bring together this extraordinary cast of actor -musicians,  several  of whom are from Northamptonshire. So welcome to Samuel, Ellen, Dan and Joseph who join Aaron and Jess to make up this brilliant team.

A Magical Christmas Adventure

Audiences will follow the Jolly Postman as he delivers Christmas letters to his fairytale friends, including the Gingerbread Man and the big bad wolf. Original music and live performances will add a festive sparkle, capturing the heart-warming magic of this family classic.
